Drunkenness

Drunkenness: In Genesis 9:18-23 we read of Noah's drunkenness, following the Great Flood! V. 21, "Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent." Why did Noah get drunk and why is this written in the Bible? God's intentions from the beginning has been for man to get right with Him, and live for Him! During this journey God wants us on, we are going to sin, just as Noah did! Is getting drunk with wine a sin? YES! Ephesians 5:18 reads, "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation..." Galatians 5:19-21 reads, "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are.... DRUNKENNESS...those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." This writer is blogging on Saturday morning. Just think how many people got drunk last night (Friday) and how many more will get drunk tonight! Drunkenness is a sin in God's eyes!
